ACondor LLC explains how flat subscription, performance fee, and per trade pricing each shape what a trading bot vendor is paid to do, and why its options software bills one flat monthly fee.

Las Cruces, United States, October 9, 2026 /NewsNetwork/ -- Options traders comparing automation tools run into three pricing models: a flat subscription, a performance fee taken as a percentage of account growth, and a per trade fee. ACondor LLC, the company behind the ACondor options trading software for tastytrade accounts, has published its position on the question: one flat monthly subscription, with no per trade fees and no percentage of account growth. The pricing page is at https://acondor.com/pricing
The choice matters because a pricing model is also an incentive structure. Whatever a vendor's revenue is tied to is what the vendor is paid to produce more of.
A performance fee, often described as a cut of the upside, charges a percentage of the increase in an account over a billing period. The appeal is easy to see: nothing is owed for a period in which the account is down. The tradeoffs are less visible. The vendor shares in the upside of an account without sharing in its losses, and that asymmetry can reward larger positions and more risk rather than restraint. The model also requires the vendor to measure account performance, which means reading balances, separating deposits and withdrawals from trading results, and agreeing on period boundaries and high water marks. Each of those is a place where a bill can be disputed.
A per trade or per contract fee ties vendor revenue to activity. A tool paid by the order has no financial reason to prefer the day when the correct action is to do nothing, and declining a trade is a core function of the risk controls in any premium selling strategy.
A flat subscription separates the vendor's revenue from both trade count and position size. The bill is the same in a quiet month as in a busy one, so software that declines trades, pauses after a loss limit, or sits out a volatile session costs its vendor nothing. The tradeoff is equally plain: the fee is owed in a losing month too, and a fixed fee is a larger share of a small account than of a large one. Any trader should weigh twelve months of subscription cost against account size before subscribing to any tool.
According to the company, the ACondor subscription covers all four trading engines and the risk layer that sits over them, plus dedicated hosting for each subscriber: a separate engine, database, and app service running against the subscriber's own tastytrade account. Two costs sit outside the subscription. Broker commissions and fees are charged by the broker, and usage of the AI model that reads news headlines is billed to the subscriber directly by its provider, Anthropic.
ACondor never holds trading capital and cannot move money. The software reads market data, reads positions and balances, and places, modifies, and cancels options orders in the subscriber's own brokerage account. First-time subscribers can request a full refund of the first subscription payment within 30 days. That refund covers the subscription fee only and never trading losses. A subscription can be cancelled at any time, access continues through the period already paid for, and cancelling does not close open positions, which remain the account holder's responsibility.
The exact monthly price has not been published. ACondor is in early access, and the company states that the early access list will hear the number first, with favorable terms for alpha participants.
Traders comparing tools can put the same five questions to every vendor: what the fee is tied to, what is billed outside the headline price, who holds the money, what a refund covers, and what happens to open positions when a subscription ends.
ACondor is software, not investment advice. Nothing in its pricing or its tools is a guarantee of any trading result, and options trading carries substantial risk of loss.
