AI Venting App With Funny Responses for Everyday Frustrations Launched

Sep 6, 2026

Hercules Designs has launched Whatever App, an AI venting app that responds to everyday annoyances with humor across multiple personality modes.

San Diego, United States, September 6, 2026 /PressCable/ -- Hercules Designs has launched Whatever App, an AI venting app that turns everyday frustrations into funny responses, giving users a lighthearted way to complain about minor annoyances, laugh at them, and move on. Users can type what is bothering them and receive a humorous take in a style that matches the kind of response they want.

More information is available at https://herculesdesigns.org/whatever

Whatever App is built around a simple three-step process: complain, laugh, and move on. Users can enter an annoyance in up to 360 characters, ranging from an irritating commute to a coworker eating their lunch, before receiving a humorous response from the app.

Different personality modes allow users to choose the type of humor they prefer. Silly, which is available on the free plan, provides exaggerated, absurd responses. On the Whatever+ tier, Sarcastic offers playful teasing, Wise combines humor with a gentler perspective, and Wholesome takes a more empathetic and comforting approach. Users can choose between built-in responses and optional AI-generated humor.

"Most AI wants to solve your problem. This one just wants to make you laugh about it," said Hercules Juver, owner and creator of Hercules Designs. "Sometimes the annoyance is not a problem to be solved. It is a bad morning that gets better once someone makes a joke about it."

The app also allows users to revisit previous complaints, save favorites, and turn responses into shareable story images. Complaint history is stored on the user's device and can be cleared at any time. Whatever App is currently available on iOS, with an Android version accessible through the app's website while a full Play Store release is pending.

As an AI venting app, Whatever App reflects a deliberately narrow use of AI: instead of providing advice or trying to solve a user's problems, its AI-generated responses are intended for humor and perspective. The app is not positioned as therapy, medical advice, or crisis support, and its responses are not intended for diagnosis or treatment. For those looking for a structured way to work through decisions and overthinking, Hercules Designs also offers Gutly, an AI clarity app built around ten Clarity Lenses for different thinking states.

Hercules Designs is an independent studio led by Hercules Juver, focused on building digital products around clarity, wellbeing, and everyday decision-making. In addition to Whatever App, the studio has released Gutly, an AI clarity app built around ten Clarity Lenses, Switchroo, an app that helps users step outside their own perspective during a difficult decision, and Daily Kind, a free app centered on small daily acts of kindness and reflection. The studio also provides website design and branding services.

Whatever APP is now available on the Apple App Store and Google Play for Android users. The app supports English, Spanish, and Brazilian Portuguese.

Hong Kong pianist John Lee does justice to Rachmaninov and more despite dry acoustics

The marketing of classical music concerts has increasingly focused on the musician rather than the music, with the often ephemeral cult of personality perceived as more valuable than the notes they play, at least in drawing an audience. So, it was refreshing to hear the fine young musician John Lee play. After studying at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, where he is now a member of the faculty, Lee earned a master’s degree from the Royal College of Music in London with distinction and...

Why GLP-1 users’ impact on food-inspired fragrance market is nothing to sniff at

From cherry and banoffee pie to Tabasco and sesame, the list of food aromas popping up in luxury fragrances keeps growing. Now some perfume makers are starting to ask if weight-loss drugs might be reshaping what consumers want in a scent. So-called gourmand fragrances like Thierry Mugler’s pioneering candyfloss-inspired Angel and Nina Ricci’s toffee apple scent Nina have been around for decades. More recent growth in the segment has been attributed to the Covid-19 pandemic-era boom in online...

How betel nut chewing in China became a habit for millions, from emperors to commoners

The history of the betel nut, also known as the areca nut, stretches further back than previously thought. New research suggests that people on the Indonesian island of Sulawesi were enjoying its mind-altering effects as long as 25,000 years ago. The discovery began with two ancient skeletons whose teeth bore curious, deep grooves. Australian archaeologists suspected these were the result of repeatedly sucking on whole betel nuts. Chemical analysis subsequently detected traces of arecoline, the...

Yams vs sweet potatoes: the difference, nutrition and how to cook them

Widely known as Sam the Cooking Guy, Sam Zien is an enthusiastic proponent of sweet potatoes. He loves mashing them and seasoning with miso, butter and chopped spring onions. Or he cubes, boils and roasts the sweet potatoes, then adds a generous dollop of lemon yogurt, with sprinkles of dukkah, a mixture of chopped nuts and sesame seeds, seasoned with cumin, coriander and salt. Another way is to add sweet potatoes to quesadillas with Mexican chorizo, a highly seasoned fatty pork sausage, and...
