Alora Takes the Lead on 'Fly Me to the Moon' as Thomas Stonewell (Atomm) Marks 50th Production Release

Emerging singer Alora steps into the lead role on a new interpretation of the jazz standard, while producer and artist Thomas Stonewell reaches his 50th officially distributed production release.

London, United Kingdom Sep 12, 2026 (Issuewire.com) - Emerging singer Alora is set to release a new interpretation of the jazz standard "Fly Me to the Moon" alongside artist and producer Thomas Stonewell, in a recording that also marks a career milestone for the Stonewell Productions founder.

Scheduled for worldwide release on September 15, 2026, the track will be Alora's third official release and, according to official distribution records across platforms including Spotify, YouTube Music and Tidal, Stonewell's 50th release in a producer capacity.

Released under the artist credit Alora & Atomm, the recording places Alora firmly at the centre of a song that was initially conceived as a more conventional duet.

From Duet to Lead Performance

The recording was originally planned with Alora and Atomm sharing the vocal parts more evenly. That approach changed during production after Alora recorded her lead performance.

Atomm, whose legal name is Thomas Stonewell, ultimately moved his own vocals into a supporting role, leaving Alora as the principal voice of the recording.

Rather than treating the change as a departure from the original concept, the production developed around the character of Alora's performance. Stonewell's vocal contribution became a supporting element, allowing the younger singer to carry the song's primary melodic and emotional direction.

The result reflects a broader philosophy behind the collaboration: production decisions are shaped around the artist and the performance rather than requiring the performer to conform to a predetermined arrangement.

That approach also reflects the mentoring relationship Stonewell says he has developed with Alora through Aurora Creative Studio (ACS), the youth creative-development initiative operated by Stonewell Productions.

"Alora has been a shining star from the beginning, with clear promise and talent," Stonewell said. "She's a self-directed artist who doesn't need much help deciding which direction to take."

He added that his role has increasingly focused on providing the production environment and resources required for Alora to develop her own ideas rather than determining those ideas for her.

"Rather than telling her what or how to create, we've focused on providing the professional background and technology she needs to pursue her goals," Stonewell said.

A Familiar Song Through a New Voice

"Fly Me to the Moon" has been interpreted by generations of performers and remains one of the most recognisable standards in popular music.

For Alora & Atomm, the objective was not to compete with those historic recordings but to approach familiar material through a new performer and a contemporary production environment.

The song therefore serves a dual purpose: it introduces another stage in Alora's development as a recording artist while also demonstrating the evolving creative relationship between artist, mentor and producer.

By allowing Alora's performance to determine the final balance of the recording, the project moved away from its original duet structure and became increasingly centred on her individual interpretation.

That transition is significant in the context of Alora's relatively short recording career. With only two previous official releases behind her, "Fly Me to the Moon" places her in the lead position on an internationally recognised song while giving her growing artistic identity greater visibility.

A Third Release in Less Than a Year

The collaboration comes as Aurora Creative Studio enters its third mentoring year, while Alora herself has been part of the programme for less than a year.

Her progress during that period has moved beyond mentoring sessions and development work into commercially distributed recordings. "Fly Me to the Moon" will become her third official release.

ACS began as a grassroots creative initiative and has since been restructured as a private mentorship programme operated by Stonewell Productions. Its stated model focuses on providing young creatives with mentorship, production resources and access to professional infrastructure while encouraging them to develop an individual artistic identity.

Rather than working toward a single predetermined definition of artistic success, the programme is intended to give young creatives access to tools and professional experience while allowing their individual interests and abilities to shape their development.

Alora's progression provides an early example of that approach.

Rather than remaining solely a performer within producer-led projects, she is beginning to make decisions about her own repertoire, releases and artistic direction. The transition is increasingly visible not only in the material she performs but also in the projects she chooses to develop next.

Alora Already Looking Beyond the Duet

Even before the release of "Fly Me to the Moon," Alora is working on her next project.

The singer says she is developing an original Christmas song titled "A Little Time Offline," which she intends to release independently as a standalone single rather than as part of a larger seasonal collection.

"This upcoming release of 'Fly Me to the Moon' is a truly special milestone for me, but I also have a clear vision for what comes next," Alora said.

"I'm currently working on a Christmas song called 'A Little Time Offline,' which I've decided to release as a standalone single. I feel the track has such a unique vibe and authentic message that it deserves its own space rather than being grouped with other songs."

She added that maintaining control over the identity of her future releases has become increasingly important.

"Moving forward, my priority is to make sure every release reflects the exact artistic vision I want to stand behind."

The statement points toward an artist beginning to think beyond individual performances and toward the development of a broader catalogue and identity.

For a young performer still at an early stage of her recording career, that distinction is important. The progression from interpreting material to making decisions about repertoire, release strategy and original songs represents a gradual shift from performer to recording artist.

A Milestone Behind the Mixing Desk

The release also carries a separate significance for Stonewell.

"Fly Me to the Moon" represents his 50th officially distributed release in a producer capacity, according to the distribution records associated with his catalogue.

Working through Stonewell Productions, Stonewell has produced and developed projects spanning original music, reinterpretations, collaborative recordings and emerging-artist development.

He also records and releases music himself under the artist name Atomm.

The 50-release milestone therefore arrives on a project in which Stonewell occupies several positions -- producer, collaborating artist and mentor -- while deliberately leaving the principal performance to Alora.

That makes the structure of the recording particularly relevant to the milestone.

Rather than using his 50th production release to place his own artist identity at the centre of the project, Stonewell's role on "Fly Me to the Moon" is primarily to create the framework around another performer.

The arrangement ultimately mirrors the mentoring philosophy described by Stonewell: provide the infrastructure, production knowledge and professional environment, then allow the developing artist to determine where the performance goes.

From Mentorship to Independent Artistic Direction

The relationship between Alora, Aurora Creative Studio and Stonewell Productions also illustrates the distinction the organisations are attempting to make between creative mentorship and conventional artist management.

The objective is not simply to prepare young performers to execute material selected for them. Instead, the emphasis is increasingly placed on helping participants understand how creative decisions translate into finished professional work.

For Alora, that process has already begun moving into practical territory.

Three officially distributed releases within her first year of involvement with the programme provide one measure of that development. Her decision to pursue "A Little Time Offline" as a standalone original release provides another.

Together, the projects suggest that her next stage may increasingly be defined by material she chooses and develops herself.

"Fly Me to the Moon" occupies an interesting point in that transition. It remains a collaboration with an established producer and mentor, but its final form gives Alora responsibility for carrying one of popular music's most familiar melodies.

Looking Toward September 15

"Fly Me to the Moon" by Alora & Atomm is scheduled for worldwide release on September 15, 2026, through major digital music platforms including Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music and other streaming and download services.

For Alora, the release represents another step in a recording career that is beginning to move from mentorship and interpretation toward increasingly independent artistic choices.

For Stonewell, his 50th production release arrives with an unusual emphasis: instead of using the milestone to look backward across his own catalogue, the producer is marking it by stepping away from the lead microphone and giving an emerging artist room to take it.
