Both results headline a big opening Sunday in October.
San Jose, Costa Rica, October 8, 2026 -- Americas Cardroom’s Sunday, October 4 online poker action opened the $5 million GTD NLH Venom PKO and $1.5 million GTD PLO Venom PKO, alongside pinklily28’s $5,625 victory in the debut Ladies Online Championship.

NLH Day 1A drew 511 entries, advancing 86 players. Atheist30 led with 5,186,479 chips. PLO recorded 133 entries and 17 qualifiers, led by BooooomHeadsot with 6,706,559 chips. lordgiven earned $8,125 in NLH bounties; bethechange and sendmehome each collected $9,687.50 in PLO bounties.
In progressive knockout tournaments, half an opponent’s bounty is paid on elimination; the other half increases the eliminator’s own bounty.
The $215 Ladies event drew 115 entries and paid 14 places from $25,000. WinniePoohBear earned $4,425 in second and Whittycat21 $3,500 in third. The winner also received a trophy.
Both Venoms cost $2,650. Four starting flights remain: October 8, 11, 15 and 18, all at 1:05 p.m. ET. Day 2 is Monday, October 19 at 1:05 p.m. ET; both final tables are Wednesday, October 21 at 4:05 p.m. ET.
Other winners included SuubZer0 with $143,325 in Phil’s Thrill, BBR$999 with $122,639 in the VSpecial Sunday High Roller and kingqueensuited with $96,337 in The Sunday Banana. Kingofduck won $48,863 in The Sunday Moneymaker, which attracted 2,888 entries.
Sunday’s $95 BEAST Paradise satellite drew 584 entries and awarded 50 seats to the October 11 Mega, where seven $30,000 Bahamas packages are guaranteed.
