DataToBiz highlights “The Fabric Shift” with its collaborations as a Microsoft Fabric Implementation Partner

Sep 29, 2026

Enterprises in the past 2 years have recognized the shift from Power BI to MS Fabric implementation, and DataToBiz highlights the change as “The Fabric Shift” with its recent client engagements and technology implementation projects.

United States, September 29, 2026 -- Behind the Growing Microsoft Fabric Adoption

By early 2025, Microsoft Fabric reached its “breakout” moment at the data layer, as mentioned in their report. Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella described Fabric as “the fastest-growing analytics product in our history.” At the time, Microsoft reported more than 19,000 paid Fabric customers, reflecting growing adoption of the analytics platform.

While Power BI continues to be the base layer in technology implementation for data visualization projects, MS Fabric stood out as a unified analytics platform that helped enterprises look past standalone BI and move toward connected data environments. This also

helped companies with already established reporting environments to build a broader data foundation, with OneLake connecting data across workloads and Power BI semantic models.

As Co-founder and CEO Ankush Sharma, DataToBiz mentions: “Adopting Fabric is not simply a platform decision, and DataToBiz recognizes that”

Putting the Fabric Shift Into Practice

The “Fabric shift” is evidently visible in the type of projects DataToBiz is undertaking recently across industrial, commercial, and energy operations.

One recent engagement: an Oman-based oil and gas operator with operations across multiple oil fields and other production assets adopted Microsoft Fabric and Power BI to gather and manage data from SCADA, SAP, maintenance systems, and field operations. The resulting environment supported automated data pipelines, standardized KPIs, role-based analytics, near-live production visibility, and predictive maintenance use cases.

Other recent DataToBiz engagements in industrial and commercial facility analytics reflect the same broader movement. As enterprises expand their reporting setup with Fabric, implementations include data integration, engineering, data governance, semantic models, Power BI, performance optimization, and AI readiness within the same environment.

For DataToBiz, these projects represent the growing role of a Microsoft Fabric Implementation Partner, and in contributing ahead, they launched a ready-to-deploy accelerator, “FabricSpend Analyser,” to manage costs in newly implemented reporting environments.

A Commitment Beyond Technology

Co-founder and COO, PS Dhillon, reflects, “The growing emphasis on AI is also adding another dimension to these implementations.”

While the shift is evident, enterprises are looking at how governed and accessible data environments can support advanced analytics and emerging AI applications. This is shifting the focus from simply implementing a platform to creating a foundation that can evolve with changing data and business requirements.

Why do some celebrity perfumes – think Ariana Grande, Britney Spears – stay popular?

There is a particular kind of deja vu that comes from a stranger’s perfume, when a scent – sugary-sweet in a lift, soft and creamy on a person’s jumper, flowery from a hug – drifts past and you know it long before you can name it. Chances are, a few of them come with a celebrity’s name. Famous names have long sold perfumes, intentionally or not. When Marilyn Monroe said in 1952 that Chanel No 5 was all she wore to bed, she did more for that bottle than any advertisement could, despite never...

We recently hosted visitors from Malaysia at our place in the Czech Republic, happily guiding them around Prague and several places beyond the capital, including a few that were new to us, too. There was much conviviality as the six of us explored beautiful Czech cities and towns, sampled hearty local cuisine and slipped effortlessly into the distinctive Malaysian-Singaporean patois – a lively hybrid of English, Chinese, Malay and some Indian vocabulary and syntax – that comes naturally to many...

How procrastination can harm your physical and mental health, and practical tips to stop it

“Have you made that doctor’s appointment about the lump on your back yet?” your spouse asks. You sheepishly mumble that you have not. Procrastination is no big deal; everyone puts off tasks they don’t want to do, right? Wrong, according to Fuschia Sirois, a professor of social and health psychology at Durham...
