Avant Interventional Psychiatry’s new Kennestone-area location in Marietta expands access to psychiatric and behavioral health care across metro Atlanta.
Marietta, Georgia Sep 9, 2026 (Issuewire.com) - Avant Interventional Psychiatry has expanded its presence in metro Atlanta with the opening of its fourth location in the Kennestone area of Marietta, increasing access to psychiatric and behavioral health services for patients and families in Cobb County and surrounding communities.
The new Kennestone location joins Avant's existing Georgia locations as the practice continues building a network of in-person and virtual mental health services designed to meet patients at different stages of care.
For Dr. Okah "Justin" Anyokwu, Medical Director of Avant Interventional Psychiatry, the opening represents more than the growth of the practice.
"As we grow, the goal is to make it easier for patients and families to connect with quality mental health care closer to where they live and work," said Dr. Anyokwu. "Opening our fourth location gives us another opportunity to serve the community and provide patients with more options for accessing care."
Avant provides psychiatric and behavioral health services for adults, children and adolescents, including psychiatric evaluations, medication management, psychotherapy and ongoing psychiatric care.
The practice also provides telepsychiatry services throughout Georgia, allowing appropriate patients to receive care virtually when traveling to an office may be difficult or inconvenient.
The addition of the Kennestone location is part of Avant's broader effort to build a more accessible continuum of mental health services throughout metro Atlanta.
As demand for behavioral healthcare continues, Dr. Anyokwu believes having multiple access points is important for both patients and referring healthcare professionals.
"Where someone lives or how far they have to travel shouldn't create an unnecessary barrier to receiving mental health care," Dr. Anyokwu said. "We want to continue identifying areas where we can make it easier for people to connect with the services they need."
Avant also works collaboratively with therapists, primary care physicians, healthcare organizations and other community partners to help connect patients with appropriate psychiatric resources.
The Kennestone location adds to Avant's existing presence in metro Atlanta while the practice continues offering telepsychiatry throughout Georgia.
With its fourth location now open, Avant Interventional Psychiatry plans to continue strengthening its provider network and expanding access to comprehensive psychiatric and behavioral healthcare.
