FlowZed Introduces The Merkle Tree, a Collection of One-of-One English Silk Jackets

FlowZed introduces London-made one-of-one silk jackets with bespoke personalization and verified provenance.

Dubai, United Arab Emirates, October 17, 2026 -- FlowZed, the Dubai-based fashion house founded by Omar Peracha, has introduced The Merkle Tree, its inaugural collection of one-of-one silk jackets. The collection comprises 5,050 individual designs, each reserved for a single jacket and never repeated. Every piece is made from English silk and hand-assembled in London by specialist craftspeople. Positioned between luxury fashion and collectible art, The Merkle Tree places physical craft at the center of FlowZed’s approach, supported by proprietary design, proofing and verification systems that help preserve authenticity and provenance without shifting attention away from the garment itself.

English Silk as the Primary Medium

Each FlowZed jacket is cut entirely from English silk, including both the exterior and the lining. The House uses bridal-weight silk selected for its smooth feel, movement and ability to present detailed artwork in radiant color. Pure English merino wool is used for the ribbing at the cuffs and hem, creating a material composition shaped around softness, structure and wearability.

The material direction follows an extended testing process in which dozens of silk fabrics were assessed for weight, touch, drape and visual performance. The objective was to identify cloth that could hold intricate compositions while retaining an exceptionally smooth finish. Advanced dyeing technology supports this process by allowing complex artwork to appear in vivid color without requiring a heavier or rougher textile base.

A Single Design for a Single Collector

The Merkle Tree is built on the principle that no design is produced twice. Each jacket begins as an individual composition, with the tree artwork, coded visual details, lining pattern and identity markers assigned to one piece only. The collection comprises 5,050 one-of-one designs, meaning each design is reserved for a single jacket and is not repeated across future production.

This approach extends to elements that may not be visible when the garment is worn. Inside the lining, FlowZed’s monogram is tiled and interleaved with the piece’s identification number at varied intervals unique to that garment. These details connect the visible artwork with more discreet markers of identity, reinforcing the status of each jacket as an individual work rather than a variation within a standard production run.

Collectors receive a digital certificate of authenticity that mirrors the physical design of the jacket. The certificate includes a three-dimensional representation of the exact composition made for the collector, providing a visual record of the relationship between the physical garment and its verified identity. FlowZed describes this system as part of its broader commitment to provenance, ownership clarity and long-term collectibility.

London Craft and Manual Review

Every jacket in The Merkle Tree collection is hand-assembled in FlowZed’s London workshop by specialist craftspeople. The London production model reflects the House’s emphasis on close material handling, careful garment construction and consistent review throughout the making process. While the brand is headquartered in Dubai, its physical manufacturing process is centered on the skill and artisanship of its London workshop.

Before a design reaches silk, each composition is created through proprietary House systems and manually reviewed in a three-dimensional render. This step allows FlowZed to evaluate the relationship between artwork and garment silhouette, including how a composition aligns across panels and how visual elements sit on the finished form. The process combines digital previewing with human review rather than relying on automation alone.

The House positions its technology as a way to expand creative freedom within a craft-led framework. Proprietary tools help adapt artwork to the specific jacket silhouette and support one-of-one production, while manual proofing keeps each piece aligned with FlowZed’s aesthetic standards. This balance is central to the brand’s philosophy of Artes Futuri, its term for the discipline of creating objects enabled by the combination of art, material research, craft and new design systems.

Atelier and Bespoke Pathways

FlowZed offers two routes for collectors. Through the Atelier service, a collector can configure an existing one-of-one composition while preserving the uniqueness of that design. Through Bespoke, a collector can commission a deeply personalized work of art, created for an individual brief. Both routes are designed around the same core principle: each finished jacket remains singular and is not repeated for another client.

Omar Peracha, Founder of FlowZed, said, “FlowZed was created to explore what becomes possible when nature, code, and physical craftsmanship are treated as a single creative act. The Merkle Tree is a world-first demonstration of a crafting methodology developed to guarantee that every collector receives a unique piece.”

Peracha’s background spans music, artificial intelligence, cryptography and product engineering. He holds a BA with honors in Music from the University of York and an MSc in Nanotechnology from the University of Oxford. His previous work across Silicon Valley and Switzerland included roles as a technology executive for venture-backed companies, as well as research and creative projects involving machine learning, music and interactive media.

The announcement establishes the House around English silk, London craftsmanship, one-of-one artwork and personalization, supported by technology that remains in service of the finished physical object.

As more young couples say yes to lab-grown, are natural diamonds losing their sparkle?

At the end of the day, it all comes down to price. That is why Pat Chung prefers lab-grown diamonds. The 36-year-old Hongkonger says they are much cheaper than a natural diamond for the same quality and size and they are easier to source. “I searched for the exact colour, size and shape that I wanted and sent it to my jeweller,” Chung says, adding that more people are opting for lab-grown diamonds compared to a decade ago. The global trend shows how dramatically the diamond business has changed...

I grew up eating bowls of Chinese migration history. You?

The dining table disappeared beneath a lavish procession of dishes. Our family took food seriously. It was sacred, even. Dinner was never merely about eating. It was the one time each day when everyone was expected to gather, regardless of schedules, moods or whatever else the world demanded outside that room. At the centre sat the pièce de résistance: a whole steamed fish, usually sea bass, topped with ribbons of ginger and spring onion in a fragrant pool of oil and soy sauce. Alongside it were...

How China’s macabre practice of human sacrifice in burials came to an end

Archaeologists have long found a disturbing pattern in the graves of ancient rulers: the dead were sometimes accompanied by other dead. Around royal tombs, the remains of people – who appear to have been killed specifically to follow their masters into the afterlife – lie alongside precious objects and weapons. A new study from Egypt has brought this practice back into the news. At the ancient royal cemetery of Abydos, archaeologists re-examined the skulls of people buried around the tombs of...

Hong Kong rugby player and cancer survivor on why screening is key even for young and fit

When Sonia Chandiramani lost her mum to ovarian cancer in 2017, she found solace in an unexpected place: the rugby pitch. “I was spending five nights a week with my team, plus weekends,” says the 33-year-old Chandiramani, who had been playing since she was 14. “It was my second family. “At her funeral, people showed up, and it meant a lot,” she says. “It’s just a reminder that there are more families than just your family.” Two years later, Chandiramani and some fellow players established...

Martial arts action franchise Street Fighter is back … but who is its star Callina Liang?

Despite two much-maligned live-action film adaptations inspired by the popular fighting video game Street Fighter in the past several decades – its namesake 1994 film and Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li (2009) – it seems Hollywood has yet to give up on the franchise. Paramount Pictures just premiered its live-action reboot film Street Fighter starring Andrew Koji, Noah Centineo, Jason Momoa and Callina Liang. The film’s plot follows the game’s fighter avatars Ryu (Koji) and his estranged...
