Fortune Cookie Soap Returns Under Mindful Mirage Scents and Its Lather & Giggle Line

Tulsa owner Demaura Williams relaunches the plant-based bath and body brand at MindfulMirageScents.com.

TULSA, Okla, October 9, 2026 -- Fortune Cookie Soap is back under a new name. Mindful Mirage Scents, a Tulsa company owned by Demaura Williams, has relaunched the brand at www.MindfulMirageScents.com, with Lather & Giggle as its whimsical subbrand.

Williams bought Fortune Cookie Soap for its following and the inventory meant to serve returning buyers. The stock was thinner than expected, and many former customers had not returned following a poor experience with the previous company. Traffic since the purchase has been light, and the relaunch is intended to rebuild that trust.

Lather & Giggle keeps the playful, whimsical style shoppers knew, while Mindful Mirage Scents represents the luxury and mindfulness side of the business.

Both lines offer plant-based hair and skin care. Mindful Mirage Scents creates scent-driven products built around mood, memory and everyday self-care, while keeping its ingredient philosophy simple and intentional. The brand focuses on ingredients chosen so buyers do not have to audit every label.

Lather & Giggle uses the same mindful approach to ingredients, with more playfulness in its product names, scents and overall mood. Lather & Giggle is a subbrand of Mindful Mirage Scents, not a separate company.

“I’ve struggled with sensitive skin all my life, something I got from my mother, though nowhere near as severe,” said Demaura Williams, owner of Mindful Mirage Scents. “Finding a plant-based company that worked for us, only to watch it close, did not feel fair. I was already making my own hair care, so I brought the brand back. We are here for people who want a company that actually cares about them.”

Why the Dajiao Festival on Hong Kong’s Kat O island is held once every 10 years

On a typical day, Kat O – a tranquil island within the Hong Kong Unesco Global Geopark, in the northeastern waters of the New Territories – sees just a small number of visitors, who arrive mostly for a scenic hike through its heritage trails. However, with an island-wide festival taking place from October 11 to 15, things are about to get lively. In the run-up to the festivities, villagers are busy completing a giant bamboo theatre, traditional puppets and parade lanterns, while local artists...

The causes are familiar – sky-high rents, thin margins, rising costs, and dining habits reshaped by the pandemic years. Legislative Council figures show that between 2018 and 2025, the number of Cantonese restaurants and banquet halls in Hong Kong fell from 1,790 to 1,500, representing a 16 per cent...
