Golf’s Longest Hitter Trusts Makefield With the Shortest Shot

Oct 21, 2026

Four-time World Long Drive Champion and world record holder partners with a PA putter maker, with his sights set on the PGA TOUR and a major championship

BENSALEM, PA, October 21, 2026 -- Makefield Putters, maker of precision-milled putters featuring patented Radial Cusp Face Technology, today announced a partnership with Kyle Berkshire, four-time World Long Drive Champion and holder of the longest fully verified drive in history at 579.63 yards.

Berkshire, whose swing has produced the fastest ball speed ever recorded at 241.6 mph, built his name on distance. Now he’s bringing that same obsession with performance to the other end of the game.

“Every drive I’ve ever hit, no matter how far, ended with a putt,” said Berkshire. “When I rolled a Makefield for the first time, the ball came off the face differently. No skid, no hop, just rolling on my line immediately. I’ve spent my career chasing speed. This putter is how I’m going to chase scores.”

Berkshire’s ambitions reach beyond long drives. He has set a public goal of competing on the PGA TOUR and becoming the first player to win a major championship with a Makefield putter in his bag.

“Kyle has already done something no human has ever done,” said Everett Farr, founder of Makefield Putters. “When the most explosive athlete in golf tells you the thing he trusts is your putter, that says everything about why we build them the way we do. We’re proud to be in his bag for whatever he does next.”

In Kyle’s Bag: Berkshire games the Makefield VS in Black, the original Makefield design, fitted with a KBS CT-Tour Double Bend shaft in black gloss and a Garsen Quad Tour grip in red. His exact setup is available at makefieldputters.com.

Every Makefield putter is CNC-milled in the USA from a single billet of steel in Bensalem, Pennsylvania. Radial Cusp Face Technology eliminates the skid phase that pulls putts offline, verified through independent Quintic Ball Roll analysis measuring 60+ parameters of impact and roll.
