Mission Prep Teen Treatment’s residential facility in Leesburg, Virginia, provides teen girls aged 12 to 17 with structured, inpatient-level care for anxiety, depression, and related mental health conditions.
San Juan Capistrano, United States, October 29, 2026 /PressCable/ -- Mission Prep has announced the availability of its residential anxiety and depression treatment program for teen girls at its Leesburg, Virginia facility. The program gives local families access to structured, residential-level care for adolescents who require more intensive support than outpatient services can provide.

The announcement comes as national data continues to highlight widespread mental health struggles among adolescent girls. According to the CDC’s 2023 Youth Risk Behavior Survey, 53% of high school girls reported persistent feelings of sadness or hopelessness. Separately, a KFF analysis of the Teen National Health Interview Survey found that 21% of adolescents aged 12 to 17 reported anxiety symptoms in the past two weeks, and 17% reported symptoms of depression.
Mission Prep notes that anxiety and depression frequently co-occur in teens, sharing symptoms such as restlessness and disrupted sleep or appetite. Depression can also affect mood and make everyday activities more challenging, the center says, including school, socializing, and self-care.
Since these conditions frequently co-occur, Mission Prep says that addressing both together is the recommended course of care. The program implements evidence-based approaches including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and interpersonal therapy, with medication considered as an addition when specifically recommended by a doctor.
Clinical guidance aligns with this approach. The American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (AACAP) supports the use of cognitive behavioral therapy for adolescents with anxiety disorders, and its depression practice parameter advises that milder cases be addressed first with psychoeducation or counseling before escalating treatment.
Mission Prep offers these and other therapeutic approaches within a fully residential setting, with family involvement central to how the center structures its care. The center emphasizes treating the entire family system alongside teens, recognizing that support often starts with a single trusted conversation. Families are encouraged to listen without judgment and to help their daughter take the first step toward professional care, a process aligned with guidance for involving loved ones throughout treatment.
“We know what it takes to build rapport and foster a supportive environment that is conducive to healing,” a Mission Prep spokesperson said. “We don’t fake it here. We make our residential program welcoming to any teen who walks through our doors.”

There is something cinematic about these luminous sculptures that are traditionally vessels of memories and loss. The pulsating light in each lantern corresponds to a section of the...

“We’re in the golden age of Canadian wines,” legendary wine writer Tony Aspler tells me confidently. We are at an intimate showcase of the stuff at the Canadian consulate in Hong Kong’s Quarry Bay neighbourhood, where representatives of nine wineries have gathered to prove that the true north has more than ice wine to offer. As a wine drinker with no particular bias – I will happily quaff a funky Austrian pét-nat (sparkling wine) as much as a fine Burgundy – it was natural for me to enter with...
