John Briggs, author of Take Breaks, Work Better and CEO of Incite Tax, has launched an online course teaching sustainable productivity strategies, including the 3.3 Rule, to help service-based business owners, coaches, and consultants grow without burnout.

Draper, United States, September 26, 2026 /PressCable/ -- John Briggs, CPA, founder and CEO of Incite Tax, has launched an on-demand online course based on his book, "Take Breaks, Work Better," introducing the 3.3 Rule as a framework for measuring work by its impact rather than hours. The course offers a structured approach to focused work and deliberate recovery, helping business owners and teams improve productivity, address burnout, and build more sustainable work habits.
More information about the course is available at https://takebreaksworkbetter.com/course/
The launch comes as burnout and workload pressures continue to affect business leaders. According to DDI’s 2025 Global Leadership Forecast, 71 percent of leaders worldwide reported significantly higher stress since stepping into their current roles. Among those leaders, 54 percent were concerned about burnout, while only 30 percent said they had enough time to fulfill their responsibilities.
Against this backdrop, Take Breaks, Work Better applies the 3.3 Rule to help business owners structure their workdays. The method recommends up to three hours of focused work, followed by a recovery period equal to at least 30 percent of the time worked. The course extends this approach to scheduling, workload planning, individual work habits, and team practices.
The program features nine on-demand modules covering topics such as time habits, capacity, scheduling, implementation, and team adoption. Each module includes video instruction and a downloadable workbook, along with resources such as a time audit template, weekly tracking log, and team scorecard. Materials also address adapting the framework for different work environments, including remote teams.
The course highlights the connection between focused work, recovery, and work-life balance, presenting breaks as an integral part of the work process. This emphasis on deliberate recovery is also central to the approach presented in the original book.
Briggs, who is also an author and speaker, previously wrote Profit First for Microgyms, which adapts the Profit First cash-management strategy for gym owners. His work includes more than one hundred podcast appearances.
The course includes on-camera coaching from Briggs, the Take Breaks, Work Better Companion Workbook as a PDF download, and additional resources that build on the book’s framework. Available online for $297, the program gives participants immediate and lifetime access to all course materials.

The grimy basements of underground punk music and the pristine white walls of contemporary art galleries are usually opposing forces of the creative world, but to Janice Laujan – the screaming, growling frontwoman of Hong Kong cult band David Boring – they are simply different mediums through which she gets to “have a public breakdown”. “Performance is the only time I can be completely honest about something and project a very intense part of my personality,” says the Hong Kong artist. “It’s...

“I’m not trying to be a flirt, like in my twenties,” American singer-songwriter Jason Mraz says, laughing. “I’m almost 50, and that’s not the vibe I’m putting out on stage any more.” It has been seven years since Mraz performed at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre as part of his “Good Vibes” Asia tour. Since that visit in 2019, Mraz has kept himself agile, releasing the full-length reggae record Look for the Good (2020), embracing disco-pop on the 2023 album Mystical Magical...
Lalisa Manobal – better known to just about everyone on the planet as Lisa – has never been afraid to stand out. The Thai-born star smashed her way into the K-pop game as YG Entertainment’s first non-ethnically Korean star, broke records with girl group Blackpink and as a solo artist, and has since made the leap onto the small screen as an actress. Somewhere along the way, she’s also amassed a very cool watch collection. She has also become a fixture in the luxury fashion world, favouring chic...
