Top-Notch Plumbing, Heating - Air Marks 10 Years of Service in Greeley, Colorado

Greeley, Colorado Sep 8, 2026 (Issuewire.com) - Top-Notch Plumbing, Heating & Air is celebrating ten years in business this month, a decade after founder Adrian Vigil took his first service call in Greeley with a set of hand tools and an old Toyota T100. That first job was a water heater repair for a single mother, and it set the standard the company has worked from ever since: plumbing is not really about pipes and parts; it is about helping people who need someone they can trust inside their home. Ten years on, Top-Notch operates two divisions out of its Greeley shop and serves homeowners, business owners, property managers, and general contractors across Greeley, Evans, Loveland, Windsor, Fort Collins, Eaton, and the surrounding Northern Colorado communities.

Built One Service Call at a Time

The ten-year mark reflects a decade of steady, deliberate growth rather than rapid expansion. Top-Notch now employs three Colorado-licensed master plumbers, more than any other shop in Greeley, and has built a leadership team that includes a general manager with a business and accounting background from the University of Northern Colorado, a commercial division manager with 18 years in the trade and a decade as a foreman, and a dedicated plumbing estimator with a wholesale-supply background.

Just as important to Vigil is what happens below that leadership tier. The company has made a practice of hiring apprentices and putting them through continuing education until they earn their own licenses, several of them Greeley natives who grew up in the neighborhoods they now service.

"I started with a toolbox and no guarantee that anyone would call," said Adrian Vigil, founder and master plumber at Top-Notch Plumbing, Heating & Air. "Ten years later, the number I am proudest of is not revenue or truck count. It is the number of people who came in as apprentices and are now licensed professionals raising families in this town. We are not trying to be the biggest company in Colorado. We are trying to be the one Northern Colorado keeps calling back."

A Full Range of Plumbing, Heating, and Cooling Services

Plumbing repair and service. Leak detection, burst pipe repair, fixture repair and replacement, hose bib replacement, and general plumbing repair for residential and light commercial properties. Every job is quoted at a flat rate before work begins, and all labor is backed by a one-year warranty.

Drain cleaning and sewer line repair. Top-Notch runs a dedicated drain department led by a certified operator, and a jetter credentialed through the International Institute of Sewer & Pipe Cleaning. The team handles routine clogs, recurring backups, camera inspection, and sewer line repair, including the tree-root intrusion that is common in Greeley's older neighborhoods.

Water heaters and water quality. Repair, maintenance, and replacement of traditional and tankless water heaters, plus whole-house water filtration and water softener installation for households dealing with Northern Colorado's hard water.

Heating, cooling, and indoor comfort. The HVAC division covers furnace repair and replacement, heating service, air conditioning repair, and ductless mini-split systems, along with seasonal maintenance for homeowners who would rather not discover a problem in January.

Commercial plumbing and new construction. The commercial division delivers plumbing for multifamily developments, medical facilities, schools, industrial sites, and ground-up new construction, with in-house estimating and bid support. Specialty services include backflow testing and medical gas. Top-Notch also serves as a plumbing service provider for the City of Greeley and a vendor for Greeley's ATMOS.

Same-day service is often available across the service area, with technicians typically on site within 60 to 90 minutes during business hours. Financing is available for larger projects, and the company offers a 10% discount to firefighters, police officers, paramedics, and Flight for Life personnel.

Six Straight Years of Local Recognition

Greeley Tribune readers have voted Top-Notch the Best of Greeley plumber every year from 2020 through 2025, six consecutive years. The company holds a five-star rating across more than 400 Google reviews, with customers repeatedly citing clear explanations, fair pricing, and technicians who clean up after themselves.

Beyond the trade, Vigil serves on the board of Partners Northern Colorado, an organization supporting youth mentorship in the same community the company works in every day. It is a program he benefited from personally. Top-Notch also provides service in Spanish, so that Greeley's Spanish-speaking households get the same explanations and the same pricing without anything lost in translation.

Looking Toward the Next Decade

Entering its second decade, Top-Notch is continuing to invest in its commercial division and in the technology behind its scheduling, dispatch, and customer communication, an effort aimed at shortening response times and keeping customers informed from booking through completion. The company is also actively hiring and training apprentices in Greeley.
