UpsideOnly Launches Risk-Free Paper Trading With Real Payouts

Sep 7, 2026

UpsideOnly now shares 50% of the trading profits earned by its machine learning models with top-performing users. Members trade global equities, commodities, forex and crypto using virtual money, and the platform trades its own capital on the aggregate signals those trades produce.

United States, September 7, 2026 -- UpsideOnly has opened its platform for paper trading with real payouts to traders worldwide, and pays eligible users half of the profits its machine learning models earn in live markets. Every user starts with a $100,000 virtual balance and can trade across 25 global markets covering stocks, indices, commodities, forex and crypto. UpsideOnly reads those paper trades as signals, commits its own capital to the strongest of them, and distributes 50% of winning trading profits to the highest-ranked eligible users. Users never fund a trading account and never risk their own money on a position.

Trading data has been a revenue line for brokerages and market data firms for decades, with the retail traders who generate it left out of the split. UpsideOnly reverses the arrangement: a user makes the call, the models weigh whether that call carries signal, and the company puts company money behind the strongest reads. Winning trades pay the eligible users half. Losing trades cost the user nothing, because no user capital ever enters a position.

Payout size depends on two inputs: how well a user performs against peers in the cycle, and the size of that user's Participation Deposit. The deposit is a refundable amount between $1 and $500 that acts as a light proof-of-human check and blocks bot farms from diluting the payout pool. UpsideOnly holds deposits in U.S. Treasury Bills through a separate fiduciary in an external account, never uses them for trading, and returns them on request under the platform's terms of service. A larger deposit tier applies a higher Priority Multiplier to the payout calculation, so the same percentile rank earns a larger share of the pool.

Order handling covers market orders, limit orders, stop losses and take profits, with real-time validation that blocks conflicting price levels before submission. Users can hold several open positions in the same asset, and any long and short combination nets out to a single direction. All open positions close automatically after 48 hours, a rule that keeps the data pointed at short-term trading rather than buy-and-hold. Separate leaderboards exist for Stocks, Crypto, FOREX, Commodities and Indices alongside the combined board, and a single trade counts toward both.

Users can reset a virtual balance to $100,000 at any time without limit. A reset clears their current leaderboard rank and active trading streak, along with any payout eligibility built up in the running cycle. Payouts already earned and withdrawn stay with the user.

The product launch arrives while retail money continues to move into volatile crypto pairs and prediction market contracts, where a wrong call costs a trader real capital. UpsideOnly, a risk-free paper trading platform, lets people trade global markets without risking their own money. Traders who want access to crypto price action, commodity swings, forex pairs or index moves can make predictions, build a track record and collect real payouts while UpsideOnly absorbs every dollar of downside.

How betel nut chewing in China became a habit for millions, from emperors to commoners

The history of the betel nut, also known as the areca nut, stretches further back than previously thought. New research suggests that people on the Indonesian island of Sulawesi were enjoying its mind-altering effects as long as 25,000 years ago. The discovery began with two ancient skeletons whose teeth bore curious, deep grooves. Australian archaeologists suspected these were the result of repeatedly sucking on whole betel nuts. Chemical analysis subsequently detected traces of arecoline, the...

Yams vs sweet potatoes: the difference, nutrition and how to cook them

Widely known as Sam the Cooking Guy, Sam Zien is an enthusiastic proponent of sweet potatoes. He loves mashing them and seasoning with miso, butter and chopped spring onions. Or he cubes, boils and roasts the sweet potatoes, then adds a generous dollop of lemon yogurt, with sprinkles of dukkah, a mixture of chopped nuts and sesame seeds, seasoned with cumin, coriander and salt. Another way is to add sweet potatoes to quesadillas with Mexican chorizo, a highly seasoned fatty pork sausage, and...
